Victoria Zigmont is an assistant professor of Public Health and Health Sciences. She teaches courses in the Public Health programs focusing on epidemiology. She is also the director of the Epidemiology and Translational (EAT) Research Laboratory. Dr. Zigmont earned her PhD in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology and minor in Biostatistics from The Ohio State University. Her MPH with a concentration in Health Promotion is from Southern Connecticut State University. Her undergraduate degree is in Chemistry and Physiology & Neurobiology (double major) from the University of Connecticut. Dr. Zigmont has worked on projects in the area of deploying and evaluating community, healthcare, university and worksite health promotion programs. Her research interests are in chronic disease prevention (obesity, diabetes, mental health, cardiovascular disease and cancer), food/ nutrition insecurity, and epidemiology methods. She looks forward to working with students in the EAT Research Laboratory.
