Recently, researchers at Ole Miss were awarded a grant to cover the

costs for Mississippians, primarily those in the Northwest, Northeast,

Delta and Gulf Coast regions who are interested in becoming Youth

Mental Health First Aid Instructors and providing trainings in their

communities. This grant will cover the cost of instructor trainings and

community trainings.

Mental and emotional problems among Mississippi’s youth are common and need to be

addressed, just like physical problems such as diabetes and asthma.
